Fratsex: Stories of Sex in College Fraternities
An Enjoyable Collection of Gay Erotic Stories About Fraternities and Frat Boys
Enjoyable? Sure, especially if you like stories about those college jocks and frat boys. I doubt most guys could read this without finding at least one story that turns them on.
What's in the Book?
Greg Herren, the editor of this book has collected eighteen different erotic stories for this book, which gives you plenty of variety in the types of stories that you'll find. There's everything from the "I was really drunk" kind of story to unexpected encounters in the frat house. I'll admit, I found most of the stories enjoyable to read. Seriously, what gay man hasn't fantasized a bit about frat boys and what they are doing with one another?
Each of the eighteen stories average between 20 to 30 pages, so they tend to be quick reads and it's easy to go from story to story. There's no continuing narrative between the stories though, so you can read one story and then flip ahead or back and not have any problems. Each story stands on its own. I liked this since I could just flip around at my leisure reading the stories that interested me and not having to worry about missing something.
In my mind these stories are probably a step ahead of your general pornographic short stories. There has been an extra level of though and effort in the writing and the some of the stories are actually interesting even if you don't consider the graphic sex portrayed in the writing. You won't be finding these stories in the fine literature section, but the stories are well written, fun to read and by having the sexual action surrounded by a decent plot and story, the book is more enjoyable.
What did I think of the book?
I actually didn't even buy the book for myself, I got it as a gift for my partner, who I thought would enjoy it. I also thought that when I ordered it, the book would be more of a "true stories" kind of book that talked about sex in fraternities. That wasn't the case though, since these stories make no claim of being truthful but are all just imagined encounters.
While frats and fraternity boys have never really been my thing, I still found the stories entertaining. The stories were all enjoyable (and exciting). It didn't take me long to finish the book either. I spent a few nights flipping around reading the various stories. My partner, the intended receipient of the book also enjoyed it and before I had read it, did much the same as I, spending a few nights reading a couple of stories before he finished the book.
My only real dislike of this book is that it is kind of pricey for a book of erotic short stories. I got it as a present that I knew my partner would like, so I was probably willing to spend a little more.
Should you get Fratsex?
If you are looking for gay erotic fiction and you like fraternity boys, then this book is probably something that you'd like to have and will enjoy. With the eighteen stories in the book you will most likely find some hot tales of sexual encounters between the frat brothers that turn you on.
All in all, I found the stories to be well written, fun to read and hot to think about and while I wish the book was a less expensive, in the end anyone with a frat boy fantasy will enjoy this book.
