Free 2010 Summer Movies for Kids

For the past several years several big movie chains have offered kid friendly summer movies with free admission, and this summer is no exception. Here is a look at some of the free children's movies that you can take advantage of this summer.

Regal Theaters Free Family Film Festival

Regal Entertainment Group has been offering their Free Family Film Festival every summer since 1991, and is proud to do it again this summer. They offer select G or PG movies every Tuesday and Wednesday for free on a first come, first served basis.

Among the movies being offered at Regal's Free Family Film Festival this summer are Charlotte's Web, Madagascar and Madagascar 2, Arctic Tale, Bee Movie, Hotel for Dogs, Tale of Despereaux, Doogal, Aliens in the Attic, Alvin and the Chipmunks The Squeakquel, and Night at the Museum II.

The Great Escape Theatres 2010 Summer Children's Film Festival

For eight weeks this summer during the months of June and July The Great Escape Theatres will be offering free family friendly movies. The dates, and times that these shows offer vary from theater to theater so you will need to check with your local The Great Escape Theatre to determine the schedule for your area.

Among the movies being offered at The Great Escape Theatres 2010 Summer Children's Film Festival this summer are Alvin and the Chipmunks The Squeakquel, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, Monsters VS Aliens, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Planet 51, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Night at the Museum 2, Hotel for Dogs, Tale of Despereaux, and Kung Fu Panda.

National Amusements Bookworm Wednesday

National Amusements theaters does charge kids for admission to their movies on Bookworm Wednesday, but it isn't money that they require in exchange for admission, it's a book report. Kids who submit a book report to participating National Amusement theaters receive free admission to select family friendly movies on Wednesdays. Parents and children under the age of six are also given free admission to these movies.
