The 4th of July, or Independence Day, is the day when American's celebrate our independence from England with the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Every year since that time the United States has celebrated the 4th of July with events across the country that include music, parades, festivals and fireworks. Families often chose to celebrate by having picnics, going to the beach, swimming and having a BBQ at home and playing fun games with family and friends.
