Free Admission to Walt Disney World or Disneyland on Your Birthday

Get a Free One Day, One Park Ticket on Your Birthday

With admission to one of Walt Disney World's theme parks like the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, or Disney's Animal Kingdom costing close to $80, and Disneyland in California costing almost as much, the chance to get a free ticket to one of these theme parks is a great deal... and until now, nearly impossible!

For 2009, Disney is offering free admission to everyone on their birthday. That's right, totally free admission to any one of the four Walt Disney World theme parks in Florida or Disneyland in California. And there's no catch. It's all part of their 2009 promotion, "What will you celebrate?" Of course, Disney is hoping you don't come alone and you'll bring with you family and friends who have to pay their way in to one of the parks.

It's the first time that Disney has offered free admission to the general public. In the past, they've offered free admission to military at certain times. After a few large scale fires in California and Florida, they offered firefighters free admission as a "thank you." But this is the first time that everyone qualifies for a free one day, one park ticket.

To get your free one day ticket valid on your birthday in 2009, you must sign up Disney's "What will you celebrate site" at disneyparks.disney.go.com. After entering some basic information, you'll be able to print out a voucher to bring to the gate with you on your birthday. Just hand over the voucher and show a photo ID proving it's your birthday and you're in.

If you are a Disney annual pass holder, you can get in on your birthday anyway because you have a pass... But Disney's not forgotten about you. Walt Disney World and Disneyland annual pass holders who come to the parks on their birthday will get in place of the one day ticket either a Disney gift card in the value of a one day base ticket or a family fast pass (for up to five people) to use on the most popular attractions. Or, you can still get a one day ticket to use anytime before your next birthday (which would be a good choice if you are not going to renew your annual pass).

So, Disney wants to know, "What will you celebrate?" in 2009. If you're looking to have a great birthday, paid for by Mickey Mouse, then I suggest you celebrate your birthday at either Walt Disney World or Disneyland in 2009!
