Free Audio Resources for Christians

Busy schedules and endless to do lists can make daily devotions and time in God's Word difficult for today's Christian. Not many people I know are spending as much time being encouraged, challenged, and fed by scripture as they'd like. While there is no substitute for reading or hearing the Bible word for word, listening to sermons and other messages is of benefit. You'd be amazed at all the times you can listen to a message while doing something else. Even if your commute to work is only fifteen minutes, that is two and a half hours a week in the car. Times like this add up. Audio messages can be listened to while you fold laundry, clean, cook, exercise, do yard work, drive, and at many other times. Why not take advantage of these times spiritually? Below are some free resources to get you started.

Sovereign Grace Ministry
Sovereign Grace Ministry is led by C.J. Mahaney. Available for download are sermons and messages from other special events. There are messages by C.J. Mahaney, his wife Carolyn, and other guest speakers. A wide variety of topics and message series are available including topics on parenting, biblical manhood and womanhood, and growing in godliness.

Revive Our Hearts
Revive Our Hearts is the radio program of Nancy Leigh DeMoss. The links provide archives of her radio program as well as other messages. These messages are specifically for women.

Albert Mohler Program
Dr. Albert Mohler's program discusses current cultural and new events with a Biblical world view during his radio program. The links provide archives of Dr. Mohler's radio program as well as other sermons and speeches.

Ligonier Ministries
Ligonier Ministries is led by R.C. Sproul. Archives of Sproul's radio broadcast Renewing Your Mind are available for download.

Sermon Audio
Sermon Audio is a huge collections of sermons. You are sure to find something to meet your needs here. You can search by topic, speaker, or Bible (vereses, book, chapeter etc.) and find what ever interests you. There are classic sermons by famous, historical preachers such as Johnathan Edwards and C.H. Spurgeon, read by someone available too.

Other Ideas
Many local churches proved free sermon archives online. Check out your local church's website or run an online search for other churches of your denomination. Podcasts are another great option, and allow you to subscribe to your favorites.
