Absolutely proud of the technical geniuses at Avast, this is the product that throws all over free anti-virus software in file 13... the bin!
As you have probably guessed by now I am impressed, right from the start everything is absolutely bob on!If you are looking to get secure online and do it for free, the use Avast Free Edition as up to now I have seemingly had absolutely no problems on any browser format.
It updates very quickly with any data it needs to keep, well... updated!
The overall look is graphically gorgeous with its orange, black and white theme that looks every bit as professional as the program itself. It is so easy to use, just run it in the background and it will silently go about its business, checking Websites, Webpages and anything else that you might be doing while you are online.
It is fantastic at blocking those nasty Trojan Horses; I have not had a problem from anybody sneaking any Malware or Spyware onto my hard drive since I installed Avast about a month ago. Normally with AVG for instance everything was getting through and had to wait until I did a scan until the bugs had been destroyed. Avast on the other hand destroys them on contact.
Okay I am not going to beat up AVG, I had many good months of use from the program, but for the most the damage has already been done when my computer had the said Trojans had been in certain files.
This is not to say AVG's free version is not a great product because it is, it is just that Avast has blown AVG out of the water for me. I love the way the program is totally unobstructive and even let's you know verbally that it has updated or destroyed a malicious attempt.
Some of you are probably already users of Avast, and may say it is a noisy program... by this I mean the voice notifications of updates every few hours to couple of days. But it is a cool sounding voice, and well lol when you are in a crowded Starbucks you can feel quite special when your laptop shouts out in a lovely female voice; "your anti-virus software has been updated." That always brings a smile to my face... kind of James Bond 007 lol.
There is a simple registration process which enables the full free version if you wish to proceed after your initial trial period... I just know you are not going to get as far as the trial end before you register!
I'm not going to hit you up with an affiliate link, there is no point, I don't work for the company and I am not interested in earning any cash from Avast... I just want them to keep offering this fantastic anti-virus software for free in its current format and better as it progresses in the future.
There has been a recent update that may require you to remove the old Avast software and reinstall, I had to do this but it did allow for a smooth update, rather than an error in updating which did appear. This information was kindly supplied by Avast showing they even look after there free users of the product.
Impressed?
You should be... Well done Avast!
