Free Bill Pay

I've always been a little behind in new technology. I wait a while after something comes on the market before I purchase or use it. This allows the maker to get some of the bugs out before I spend my time and money on something that may not be worthwhile. It also gives me time to hear feedback from other users and see if they like it.

With the increase in postage costs, banks competing for your business, and an increase in advertising for online banking, I had begun to consider the many options that were available to me. I didn't know a whole lot about it, but figured I would look into it.

Shortly after I started looking into online bill services I changed banks and discovered my new banks online banking options such as Free Bill Pay, and free money transfers between accounts. Now Free Bill Pay is a feature that I had heard about but have never tried until just a few weeks ago. I logged on to my banking site, entered my information and started surfing their site, I discovered Free Bill Pay from US Bank www.usbank.com. With some basic information the bank sends out your payments monthly. You can choose to make reoccurring payments or a one time payment. The program keeps track of your payment history, and how much you have spent total on the bills you pay with this service.

Wow, I'll never have to buy stamps again. They even offer to pay a person directly not just a company or business. All you need is a name, address, and how much you owe, they do the rest. The only down side that I have found is you have to set it up approximately three days in advance to get it there on time. Other than the time issue I have had no complaints from the people that I pay this way.

The transfer between accounts option is wonderful for keeping a savings and checking account in the same bank. You can move your money from one account to the other without leaving your couch. You can also opt to receive alerts when your account reaches a certain pre set level that you control.

Another wonderful feature that I have with U S Bank ® is I get paid a percentage of everything I buy using the card attached to my account as a credit card, for every non pin purchase I make with my card I earn money back which I can withdraw when it reaches certain dollar amounts.
