Cheap Games for the Bridal Shower

Christina Majaski
An important part of a bridal shower is the games but they don't have to elaborate or expensive games for everyone to have a good time. If you are a bride on a budget or a maid of honor planning the bridal shower on a budget, try these free and cheap bridal shower games. Most of these games can be typed and printed out and only require a piece of paper and pen and cost nothing or almost nothing.

Famous Couples Match

For this cheap bridal shower game just print out and copy a list of famous women, real or fictional, and have the guests fill in the names of their husbands. Mix them up with a few easy ones and some hard ones including past and present, real and fictional couples. Good examples to use are Dale Evans and Roy Rogers, June and Ward Cleaver, Cinderella and Prince Charming and Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz. Whoever has the most correct matches wins.

Do You Know the Groom?

This game requires interviewing the groom before the bridal shower. Ask the groom a series of personal questions such as, where did you graduate, what is your favorite sport or team and what is your favorite food. Print out and copy the list of questions and have each bridal shower guest fill in their answers. Read off the groom's answers and whichever guest has the most correct answers wins.

Don't Say the Bride's Name

Give each guest a clothespin or safety pin at the beginning of the bridal shower to clip to their tops. Anyone that says the bride's name will have to surrender all of their pins to the person that catches them. Whoever has the most pins at the end of the bridal shower wins. To make the game even more difficult you may want to make both the bride's name and the groom's name off limits or another word like wedding.

Wedding Unscramble

This game is probably one of the easiest and cheapest to prepare for. All you need is a list of 15-20 scrambled words relating to weddings. Words to scramble are wedding, bridesmaid, groom, maid of honor, church, and tuxedo. Give the guests 3-5 minutes to unscramble the words, the bridal shower guest with the most correct answers wins.

Don't forget small prizes for the winners, check discount stores and dollar stores for inexpensive prizes.

Save some money for the wedding and use these tips for free and cheap bridal shower games.
