Free Card Templates for Mother's Day

Amy Lavin
How do you show your mother your appreciation on Mother's Day? The most common way is to give her a card. One easy way is by making a card from an online template. To help you find the best templates of free Mother's Day cards, here is a list of useful websites.

Microsoft Office Online - 4 stars

On Microsoft Office Online, you can search the templates for Mother's Day cards. It will give you a selection of seven different cards. Each card can be downloaded to your version of Microsoft Office. Once you download the template, you can modify the cards as much as you would like, adding your own text, color, or graphics. My favorite card was the one with gift coupons that can be edited to add fun jobs that can be done for your mother. On a side note, this site tends to work better with Internet Explorer than with Mozilla Firefox. Some designs may be harder to edit than others.

Southworth - 3 stars

At Southworth, you will find templates for many types of holiday cards. Six of those will be Mother's Day cards. You can choose to either download a Microsoft Office document or a PDF document. If you want to change the inside greeting, it is best to use Microsoft Office. You can also edit the picture with your own clip art or photographs. This website is very easy to use, but the designs are more simplified.

Greetings Island - 3 stars

Probably the most fun to use, Greetings Island offers seven different Mother's Day designs. Once you select the design you want to use, you have the ability to personalize it by adding text or photographs to the front, inside, and back of the card. However, you cannot edit the graphic or message in the design you choose. Kids will have fun with this easy-to-use bright and colorful website.

1, 2, 3 Print Cards - 2 stars

In three simple steps, you can create simple Mother's Day cards at 1, 2, 3 Print Cards. Out of twenty-six styles, you can choose cute, funny, or photo cards. First, you choose a fun graphic; second, you create your unique message; and third, you print your personalize card. The website is very easy to use, but you do not have the ability to change the graphics.

Print Free - 1 star

With a collection of twenty-four possible card designs, Print Free gives you a choice of sweet, cute, or religious Mother's Day cards. You can choose either a quarter-fold or a half-fold sized card, along with printable envelopes. Although you are unable to change the graphics, you can edit the text to add a letter and/or a traditional greeting. Once you have made the card, you simply print it from the website.

Once you have visited all of the sites to find the card that truly represents your affection for your mother, be sure to use fine quality paper, possibly cardstock, and print on a color printer to produce the best card for Mother's Day.
