FreeRice - At FreeRice, you can give free rice to the hungry simply by answering trivia questions about word definitions. Click the correct multiple choice answer to each trivia word and they will donate free rice to the poor. As an added bonus, it helps improve your knowledge of word definitions.
FreePoverty - A similar game to FreeRice, FreePoverty is a geography quiz game that donates cups of clean water to those in need each time you successfully locate a spot on the map. Even if you are a little off, you get free cups of water just for being in the general area. The closer you are, the more cups of water you donate. It also helps you improve your knowledge of geographic locations.
The Rainforest Site - All you have to do is click the "Give for Free" button and they will donate to environmental agencies. Purchase gifts for others from their website (many are very affordable) and save even more rainforest! You can also click the other tabs across the page to donate for free to things such as hunger, breast cancer awareness, and animal rescue.
Facebook - Facebook has many games and aplications that donate to various charities when you play their games or send free "gifts" to others on your friends list.
The Petition Site - Sign online petitions for your favorite causes for free at The Petition Site. You can also create your own petitions for causes that you support. You can also sign up with some organizations to have paper petitions sent to you.

I've done the free rice one. That was pretty cool. It was actually an assignment in my college geography class.
There is also another web site that if people visit it... donates money for animals. I do not remember the name of the site. Great info.
I think it's cool that so many organizations like this exist and make it so easy for people to donate. In a time where many are experiencing hardships, this is a good option for people who'd like to help, but don't have the funds. :-)
