Festive Fun for the Whole Family

Many think that Cinco de Mayo is the Mexican Independence Day, but it actually isn't. September 15th is their actual Independence Day. The 5th of May is a celebration day of liberty and freedom. (Click here for a link for the history of Cinco de Mayo.)

To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, I have collected some fun free coloring and craft printables for the whole family to enjoy! Grab your crayons and markers and let's celebrate Cinco de Mayo!

Here are some great coloring pages from TheColor.Com. At this site, you can either color the pages using their online colors and print, or you can print it and color it yourself.

*Coat Of Arms

* Piñata Fun- This is a fun picture of two kids trying to get the candy out of a burro piñata!

*Latin Dancers- This one is an adorable coloring page of a boy and a girl dancing.

*Traditional Food- Hungry? Well, this page will make you drool as you color it. I am hungry just looking at it!

* Sombrero and maracas- Need a traditional Mexican hat and a set of maracas to start dancing?

* Man Singing- Hearing Mariachi music in your head? This is a great coloring page to help celebrate the music of Cinco de Mayo.

These next coloring pages are from dulemba.com. These are for printing and not coloring online. I recommend using print preview to select the size of the picture first.

* Dancing Cactus- Need a bit of dancing cactus in your life? This one is too cute to pass up.

*Sombrero and hot pepper maracas- This is a more detailed coloring page including a sombrero, a serape and maracas decorated with hot peppers.

How about some crafts? Dltk-kids.com has creative and fun ways to make your Cinco de Mayo even more fun with homemade crafts for the kids. Being a craft person myself, I am definitely going to try these with my kids. Just print these out and share with friends and family.

* Simple Paper Bag Piñata -Here is a simple piñata that even little ones can help make.

* Tissue Flowers - I remember making these tissue flowers for my hair as a young kid. They were so festive and fun!

*Placemats - Need new placemats for Cinco de Mayo dinner? These will add to your celebration.
