Risk
I have always loved strategy games. Risk is, by far, my absolute favorite. However, when I saw that the official Risk iPhone app was $4.99, I knew there was no way that I was going to spend five bucks on a cell phone game. Luckily, I stumbled across a completely free knock-off version of Risk called Generals. Generals is a great looking game that has all of the same features, rules, and feel of the original classic. In the game, you can play against your friends or take on the computer with up to 4 AI (Artificial Intelligence) players.
Battleship
Take to the high seas with the iPhone game, Warships. This is a great free version of the classic Battleship. With this game, you can not only compete against the computer, but you can battle your friends with a simple Bluetooth connection.
Connect Four
Yeah, you remember this one. I remember spending Christmas day playing countless rounds of Connect Four with my cousins. Now you can enjoy this family favorite with Four in a Row for Free for your iPhone.
Guess Who?
I had completely forgotten about this game until I stumbled across the official Guess Who? IPhone app. This game certainly brings back memories. My wife and I use to play this game all the time when we were dating. Downloading Guess 'em is a great way to enjoy the classic guessing game for free.
Yahtzee
Yacht Free is a pretty good knock-off of the classic Yahtzee dice game. I have to admit that the graphics are not the best. However, the concept and playability isn't too shabby. Compared to the official Yahtzee iPhone app, Yacht Free has a better overall star rating. I would say that this is probably due to the $3 price tag on the official version.
Scrabble
Are you a word nerd? That's right, you know who you are. If Scrabble is one of your favorite games, you will love Words With Friends Free. This turn-based game allows you to play with friends across social networking sites such as Facebook. Once you take a turn, your friend gets a notification that you have completed your turn. Your friend can then continue with their turn whenever they are ready. The best part is that you can have games with up to 20 friends going on at the same time.
