Free Clinics in Jacksonville, Florida

Jacksonville offers a great deal of support for residents of the city that are unable to afford medical insurance. They do this by providing free health clinics. I have compiled a list of free clinics, along with addresses and phone numbers. If you have questions feel free to call or walk-in at any of these locations. They are in no particular order.

1) The M. Sulzbacher Health Center is located at 611 E Adams St call for an appointment at 359-0657x263 they are open: Monday - Saturday from 9:00am until Noon, as well as Monday - Friday from 2pm until 4pm.

2) Baptist Medical Center is located at 800 Prudential Dr 24/7 offers emergency room services.

3) Healing Hands Medical Clinic is located at 5126 Timuquana Rd. this is on the west side of Jacksonville. Call 777-4228 to make an appointment. They are only open on Tuesdays, from 5pm until 8 pm.

4) Christ The King Clinic is located at the South Jacksonville Family Health Clinic, 1736 University Blvd South. They are only open the fourth Saturday of each month, from 9am until 1pm and take walk-ins only.

5) St. Matthew Christian Community Health Clinic offers free dental service, but only pull teeth; no fillings or preventative care they are located at 1311 W 27th Street, on the north side of Jacksonville. Call them at 768-0237 to make an appointment. They are only open on the first Tuesday of each month from 5pm until 7pm.

6) City Rescue Mission is located at 426 South McDuff Avenue, but is only for people at the City Rescue Mission.

7) Mission House Clinic is located at 800 Shelter Avenue in Jacksonville Beach. They only take walk-ins and can be reached at 241-6767. They are only open on Saturdays from 9am until 11:30am and on Tuesdays 5pm-7pm.

8) Shands Medical Center is located at 655 West 8th Street. The phone number there is 549-5000. They provide medical services to all on a low-income, as well for the homeless. They do require you possess a Shands Identification card before treatment will be rendered. Please call the number listed for requirements. Shands offers the widest variety of health care options in the area.

9) There are two locations for the NE Florida Community Action Agency. The clinic located at 1093 W 6th Street only serves people that live in the following zip codes: 32208, 32209, 32215, 32218, 32219, 32220, 32221, 32229, 32234, 32254, and 32273. You can call them at 632-1476. The second location is at 1133 Ionia Street. Their phone number is 632-1475 and they accept residents all other Jacksonville area zip codes. The We Care Clinics have several locations. You can call them at 630-3372 for information or to find out where the nearest clinic is located.
