You are online, scouring Google, Ask, Yahoo, each and every search engine. You are following links, and cursing the variety of information you are getting.

All you want to do is take a simple little online course, a little resume booster to get back on the horse and in the career game. Maybe a college course, or a tutorial. Something affordable, something that will give you that much needed edge in the world of a competitive work force.

Perhaps all you want to do is a little self betterment through education, brush up on that class you didn't quite pay attention to in school, and now wish you had.

It's no secret that in today's world, you simply need to know more. It helps if you know more than the last guy too, at least, if you want to get ahead.

Did you know that it is possible to take free college courses or classes online? That's right, no financial aid, no student loan, no grants. Free.

Of course, most of these free classes will not offer actual college credits, but they will add that nice little boost to your resume, or your self confidence!

Thanks to the wonderful world of technology, new doors are opening in education, providing students of all age groups and backgrounds the opportunity to learn about the world they live in.

Think of all the exciting possibilities that could open up in the world if everyone were self motivated enough to teach themselves the information they need to excel and not just get by! An education is a wonderful thing, it's an even better thing if it's free!

Learn American Sign Language (ASL) for free (lifeprint), brush up on some Spanish, learn about Mythology (outreach), the Civil War, or whatever else you can think of! For more ideas, type in key words like 'free college course online' into a search engine.

Don't be afraid to list relevant courses on your resume to give it a little sparkle and shine. Think of it as though you and someone else have the exact same experience, and education, except for one thing, YOU took the initiative to learn more about your career goals, you took a course, and are now better prepared. It may just help to get that would be hard hire!
