Free Conference Calls

Networking Solutions that Won't Break the Bank

With more and more people working from home, communication needs are constantly changing. If your home-based internet business relies largely on networking, you will undoubtedly benefit from conference calling. Freeconference.com is particularly convenient and easy to use. It takes just seconds to set up an account, no downloads, and free basic service.

The basic service is absolutely free, but you can add other features, such as, a toll-free number, recording, and online conference management and automated email invitations for a price. However, if you are just establishing a network, the free conferencing meets most needs. The free conference service offers a call-in number and access code, up to 150 callers, and 3 hours of conference time.

Sign up is amazingly fast and easy; and there is nothing to download. Upon entering the minimal information required, you are immediately given a phone number and access code. You can, then, send out invites to those people in your network, along with the time the conference will begin. The conference time begins when the first person calls in and ends when the last person hangs up. You are, also, given an organizer code that allows you to call-in and access special features.

When sending out invitations, you will want to state a time zone. For example, I might decide to start my conference at 7:00 pm (central). That way persons in other time zones will not get to the conference an hour early or an hour late. Also, supply a brief purpose of the meeting. Whether you are addressing marketing strategies or planning a real offline meeting, participants are more likely to call-in if given a reason for the meeting and a estimated length of the conference. However, participants are free to enter and leave the conference at anytime. You may, also, want to include a few rules. Just like an offline meeting, if 150 people try to talk at one time, it can become chaos and nothing will get accomplished and participants will become discouraged from calling in to future conference calls. Encourage participants to email any questions beforehand. Immediately after presenting all pertinent information, you can, then, read and address those questions.

Although, this service is a great business tool, there are other uses that you may find useful. You can set-up conferences with out of town family members, classmates and friends. Planning the next family reunion, class reunion, or church function will be a breeze and not a strain on the organizer's pocket, nor an inconvenience for participants.

I remember these. We had them all the time in my old job because we had offices throughout the state. It was wonderful getting to talk with everyone at once though.
