If you know how to crochet, and if you love cats, you will enjoy crocheting some cat projects using the free patterns below. And if you are not a cat fanatic, you probably know someone who is. So, make them happy by giving them a hand crocheted cat as a gift! You might also want to try selling your crocheted cat crafts online on sites like eBay or Etsy. There are plenty of people out there who collect anything to do with cats so you might find a nice market out there for the cat items you crochet.

Crocheted Cat Pattern #1 - Cat Neck Pillow: This cat neck pillow is intended to encourage kids to take a cat nap, but it would also make a great gift for someone who travels a lot. Granted, anyone who is caught on a plane with this cat around their neck will have to be prepared to get some odd looks, but this cat will make a nice travel companion. The cat also makes a nice toy for a child. And it will look good sitting up high on the back of any couch. Although this cat pattern looks complicated, it is considered an easy level so it's a good crocheted cat craft for beginners. Crocheted Cat Pattern #2 - Kitty in Jammies: This is a beautiful little Amigurumi cat that sits just four inches tall. This little cat is so quick to make that you can complete it in just one sitting. Any little girl would love to own this cat. Make it in blue and skip the bow and it makes a nice cat for a boy. Since this cat is so small, this is a good crochet project to use up yarn scraps. You can make a cat in every color! Crocheted Cat Pattern #3 - Cat Face Fridgie: This is a super quick and easy cat that you can crochet in minutes. Then all you have to do is hot glue a magnet to the back and you have a cute cat magnet for your refrigerator. You could make a bunch of these and hand them out to your trick-or-treaters on Halloween. Or donate some of these cat magnets to your local pet shelter so they can sell them as a way to earn a bit of money. This is a good project for using up yarn scraps and is a great crochet project for beginners. To see a photo of this crocheted cat and to print out the free pattern instructions click here.

Crocheted Cat Pattern #4 - Cat Pillow: In this pattern, you will get the instructions for three pillows. One is for a cat and the others are for a bear and a pig. What a nice set of pillows this makes to give as a gift to any child. You can make just the cat pillow if you want, but chances are you will want to make them all! Have fun with your crocheted cat projects and remember, you are allowed to change the patterns to your liking. You can change colors and use different types of yarn than what the designer suggests. There are no rules in crochet!
