My daughter has purchased a few of these drawstring bags to use at college. She says it's easier to have one for her different class days. This way she doesn't have to switch out her books out of a regular backpack. Plus, she has gone through more of the standard backpacks due to the zippers breaking.
She has also picked up a few free drawstring bags at the college on career days. She told me she picked those up so she could break down the book load for the bags when she has classes all day. This way the bag isn't so heavy to carry.
Even if you don't have a child in college, these drawstring bags do come in handy for other things. I have one I use to keep paper and pencils in for my car. This way I have something to jot down notes for future articles. I have also written a few articles while waiting for my daughter to get out of class because I had these things handy and they weren't strung out all over the back seat of the car.
For those who have small children who are not yet of school age, using a drawstring bag for books and other things for them while in the car can help keep them occupied. Make each child their own drawstring bag for the car and let them help put "for the car" items in it.
These are just a few ways you can use drawstring bags in your personal life. You may think of a few other ways you can use them.
Thin, drawstring bags have become the latest rage for backpacks for kids. The drawstring backpacks are lightweight and easier to carry on your back compared to the traditional back packs of the past. The drawstring backpacks bought in stores are made from nylon fabric. The drawstring closes the top of the bag, while the shoulder strings keep the bag at its normal size.
There are four types of gift bags listed on this page. The first three bags have only one size of bag for the pattern. The gift bags has four different patterns for small, medium, large, and wine bags. All of these bags are easy to make. Any of these bags could be used to store shoes, curling irons, toys, pens, pencils, colored pencils, crayons, and other household items.
