Make the Flying Reindeer Christmas Craft

On the plain brown side of the cardboard, trace your hand with a pencil.

Next, cut out the hand outline. Tip: this is for kids old enough to handle scissors. If they are not, cut out the hand shape for them.

Turn the hand shape so the fingers are on facing you. These are the flying reindeer legs.

At the top of the flying reindeer craft, where you traced your palm, use the hole punch to make a hole. Tie a piece of ribbon or string.

Also make hole on the top of the neck, where your thumb outline begins. Thread the brown pipe cleaner through to make the antlers.

Use the hole punch to cut out a black circle for the eye and glue it in place. Or just draw a black dot with a crayon.

Next, use the hold punch to cut out a little red circle. Glue that for the nose. Or use the red crayon.

Creative tip: if you are doing family of flying reindeer, make the nose black on all of them except for one. The red-nosed reindeer, is of course, Rudolph, and there can be only one.

Tie a red piece of yarn around the neck of the flying reindeer. Make it into a pretty bow.

Easy Christmas Craft for Kids: Flying Reindeer Options

Kids who want to make a more complicated Christmas craft can also draw on the feet.

They can also make this free and easy Christmas craft more decorative by painting or coloring the reindeer body.

Or add an extra hole to the reindeer and string up eight tiny reindeer together.

This easy and free Christmas craft idea can be hung in a window, on a tree, on a doorknob, or on the corner of a picture frame.
