If you are planning a trip to Colorado, be sure to enjoy visiting some of the landmark factories that call Colorado Home. Be sure to check with each location prior to your tour to be sure of tour times and requirements. Some tours require reservations for groups of 10 or more or those with special needs.

Coors Brewery: Located at 1221 Ford Street in Golden, Colorado, this brewery was established by Adolph Coors in 1873. This free walking tour describes the brewing process and lasts about 90 minutes. It is open to folks of all ages. Those of legal drinking age can enjoy a beer tasting following the tour. There is also a gift shop on-site. Be aware that this tour is closed on Sundays and Holidays.

Celestial Seasonings: This is the home of the tea that truly delights your senses made from 100% natural ingredients. Celestial Seasonings offers free tours every day (except the major holidays), and is located at 4600 Sleepytime Drive in Boulder, Colorado. If you are over 5 years old, you can enjoy touring the production factory. Free samples are provided of various teas. My personal favorite is the Peppermint Room! You really have to smell it to believe it! There is also a Tea Shop which offers all varieties of Celestial Seasonings tea along with tea-themed gifts.

Hammond's Candies: Lollipops and candy canes - you'll see it all at Hammond's Candies at 5735 N. Washington Street in Denver, Colorado. This is a free half-hour tour you'll see ribbon candy, toffee production. Following the tour, you can purchase candies in the gift shop.

Redstone Meadery: What is Mead? Well, it is honey wine! It is an ancient beverage, but you can experience its unique flavor by visiting the Redstone Meadery in Boulder, Colorado. They offer free tours which last about 30 minutes and a free tasting in the tasting room is included for visitors 21 years and older. Learn the history of mead and browse the mead store. The Redstone Meadery is located at 4700 Pearl Street, Unit 2A in Boulder, Colorado.

Van Briggle Pottery: This art pottery factory is one of the oldest in the United States. It was established in 1899 and offers self-guided free tours. You can learn the history of the Van Briggle artists and see many samples along the way. There is a lovely gift store at the end of the tour with pieces in all price ranges. You'll see the famous blue-green colored glazes that Van Briggle Pottery is so widely known for. Van Briggle Pottery is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
