Free Father's Day Ecards for Kids

Five Websites Where You Can Find Free Father's Day E-Cards

Shannon Lausch
Kids can show their appreciation this Father's Day by sending their dad an ecard. Many sites offer kid-friendly cards that are cartoonish and fun. Best of all, they're free! But be cautious. Since free ecards aren't always free (spam, viruses, and Trojans, oh my), be careful when sending and receiving ecards. Real ecards do not ask you to download attachments. You should also never download any programs if an ecard email prompts you to do so.

1. All-Yours

All-Yours has a whopping 94 ecards to choose from this Father's Day. The cards, mostly musical and animated, are divided by category to make the site easier to navigate. You can pick cards with themes such as cute, flower, poems, thanks, animal, emotional, and funny.

The cards are cartoonish and cutesy, which make them perfect for kids. One of the most popular cards, named Foundation, shows clocks floating through a golden backdrop. The scene transitions to a desk with books and a glowing candle. The message reads: "Time passes quickly, but the foundation you provided keeps me right on track. Thanks Dad!"

You can personalize the card with a custom background, layout and message.

2.EGreetings

EGreetings offers around 30 ecards for Father's Day. The cards are mostly flash animated and include themes such as nature, fishing, religion, and, of course, beer.

Like All-Yours, the cards are pretty cutesy. One card in particular depicts a cartoon dog asking a series of questions to pamper dad ("Can I adjust your pillow?"), only to ask for ten bucks in the end.

You do have to sit through an advertisement before cards will load (which can be quite annoying). After you choose a card, you can personalize each one with a message.

3. 123 Greetings

123 Greetings offers the most diversity with over a 100 ecards for this Father's Day. The cards are sorted into categories according to giver (whether daughter, son, grandchildren, niece, nephew, or friend). They also offer cards according to message such as friendship, fun, "miss you," and "thank you."

One card titled "No one is Par-fect" depicts a dad hitting a frog with a golf ball. Cartoonish and cute, 123 Greetings is great for kids. You have the option to personalize this card with a message, and you can choose the font, color, and typeface.

4. Billy Bear 4 Kids

Billy Bear 4 Kids has a selection of nine ecards. They're not animated, but they're highly customizable. They include themes such as "promise cards" and nature cards. There's even a card for grandfathers.

The promise cards are the most creative with a message that states they will "clean the car" without "pouting or fighting." You customize the cards through a series of steps: choosing a card, choosing an accompanying song, selecting font colors and background, and choosing a postage stamp.

5. World Wildlife Fund

The World Wildlife Fund offers six cards that you can personalize for Father's Day. You can choose a card featuring panda bears, tigers, gorillas, polar bears, and a gray wolf. One great feature is that you can choose when the website sends the ecard.

While you must supply a message in order for it to relate to Father's Day, the World Wildlife Fund has a great reputation as a safe ecard site. Be sure to uncheck the box if you do not wish to receive emails from this organization.
