Free Food Booths, Gun Salute, Fireworks Mark Fourth of July Celebrations in Fort Stewart, Georgia

Military towns are known for the great 4th of July celebrations. Hinesville/Ft Stewart is no different. This year will be no different. The celebration will be held on Ft Stewart at various locations.

According to Quality Time the events are as follows:

8:30 on Newman Field will be Walk to Iraq
11:00AM - 8:30PM at Corkan Recreation Area there will be Recreation and Water activities.
12:00 - 12:30PM 50 Gun Salute
4:00 - 8:30 PM Youth Activities at Newman Field
5:00 - 7:30PM Free food booths and Newman Field
7:45 - 9:00PM Main Stage Entertainment
9:00 - 9:30 Fireworks at Cottrell Field

Recreation and water activities will include free mini-golf, pool, water park, bowling at Stewart Lanes, turbo slide, dunking booth, and wet slide. These will be at Corkan Recreation Area.

There will be youth activities to keep the kids busy at Newman Field. These activities will include caricature artist, balloon artist, video games, rock wall, bungee run, spin art, more kids games and crafts. This is just a partial list. There will be plenty of activities for kids of all ages.

There will be activities for kids all through the day. There will also be shade tents set up. There will be a Family Readiness Group area as well as a teen game area. These are all set up at Newman Field as well as surrounding areas.

The entertainment at the main stage at 7:45 will be Corey Smith. He is a Georgia native that sings rock and blues combined into his own style. He has been touring with great reviews.

Coolers, chairs and blankets are encouraged. There is no alcohol, glass or pets.

It is looked to be a day full of fun, games, music and fireworks. If you are in the area be sure to check out the activities and events.
