Baked Pumpkin Seeds for Crafts

Baked Pumpkin Seeds are wonderful for crafts. Not only can the kids eat a few while they create their craft, but they are easy to make. For this project, all you need is pumpkin seeds. You can find these inside the pumpkin after you've carved the pumpkin. Make sure to rinse the pumpkin seeds and dry with a paper towel before cooking. Lay the pumpkin seeds out on a cookie sheet and spray with nonstick spray. Then cook at 350 degrees for about ten to 20 minutes. These are fun to eat or use for decoration of Halloween crafts.

How to Make Apple Cider

What you need:

Apple Juice

Cinnamon Stick

Directions:

This is the easiest recipe I've ever tried. Let me tell you, once you drink a cup, you'll be making some all year long. Take several cups of apple juice place in a pot over the stove. Add an entire cinnamon stick into the mixture and bring to a low simmer. If I'm in a hurry, I many only cook for about an hour. If I'm going to drinking apple cider all day, I'll keep it over a low heat. The longer it steeps, the better it is.

How to Make a Fall Pumpkin Centerpiece

What you need:

Small Pumpkins

Paint

Paint Brushes

Gourds

Silk fall leaves

Directions:

This is a great fall craft for the entire family. To create the pumpkins, you want to allow each person in the family to create their own pumpkin. This means you want to give them paint and a paintbrush and let them decorate the pumpkin. Once the pumpkins are finished, let the pumpkins dry completely.

Once the pumpkins are dry, you are ready to make your Fall Pumpkin Masterpiece. Clear out a section on your kitchen table where you are going to display your masterpiece. First add some leaves to the table. Now decorate with a pattern such as pumpkin, gourd, pumpkin, and gourds. This is such a cute fall centerpiece that everyone will enjoy.

Pumpkin Seed Necklace

This is a quick, DIY Halloween craft that is perfect for rainy days. The kids will have a blast making their pumpkin necklaces.

What you need:

Pumpkin Seeds (See earlier craft)

Paint

Paint Brush

Newspaper

Needle and Thread

Directions:

Paint your pumpkin seeds any color you desire. The kids usually know which colors they want to use. Once all the pumpkin seeds have been painted, allow them to dry. You can place them on a cookie sheet to dry.

Thread your needle with thread and begin piercing each pumpkin seed through the center. Do this for each pumpkin seed until you have a full necklace of pumpkin seeds. Younger children may need help with the needle and thread but older kids will enjoy the hands on project. Once the project is finished, create a knot at the end of the necklace to secure the ending.
