The New York City free Clinic.
The New York City free Clinic also called the NYCFC, believe that high quality health care is the rights of all individuals and they provide all health care services for free, including; Counseling, patient education, social services, screenings and registration for public health care. The clinic services the uninsured, homeless and disenfranchised of New York no matter their socioeconomic, immigration or health status. The clinic provides services such as; Basic primary care, patient education, physical exams, woman's and men's health, laboratory testing, radiology, vaccinations and many more health services. If the patient needs to see a specialist for further care, they will refer you to a clinic at Bellevue Hospital Center; these services are also free, even if the patient needs surgery or an MRI.
The Floating Hospital.
The Floating Hospital was founded in 1866 as a part of the ST. John's Guild of Trinity Church, the clinic is dedicated to serve the poor and sick children and all those in need regardless of creed, color and nationality. The clinics Family Health Network provides over 57,000 patients visit annually and they mostly serve homeless mothers and children from shelters and domestic violence. Free transportation is offered to all their network of full service clinics and the Family Health Network will never refuse a homeless family treatment if they are not able to pay. The Family Health Network provide services such as; Primary Care Medicine, State of the art pediatric, adult dental care, mental health, vision and hearing screenings, HIV testing, substance abuse counseling and they can help you with missing or non existent health record documentation that often is required for school and jobs.
Steinway Child and Family Services.
Steinway Child and Services has provided mental health, social and residential services since 1972 to poor, minority and immigrant people, children and adults, families, people with risk for HIV and senior citizens. Steinway Child and Services offers a range of programs including; Mental Health Services, case management, preventive services, HIV/AIDS services, residential programs and services for older people. Their fees are based on ability to pay meaning that no one is turned away for financial reasons. Also emergency services are available 24 hours, 365 days a year to all clients.
