You must have a membership in an entertainment union or proof of employment in the entertainment industry to receive care. Children and Spouses of entertainers are not applicable. The NYC Free Clinic: The Sidney Hillman Health Center serves uninsured, homeless, and the disenfranchised. 212-206-5200 to schedule an appointment. The center opened a women's health free clinic on February 9, 2008. 16 East 16th Street, 3rd Floor. This center does not accept walk-ins. You must be uninsured and over 18 years of age to receive care and all services are free of charge. There may be a small co-pay for prescription medication ($15 generic, $40 for brand name). The center provides basic primary care, physical exams, genealogical care, vaccinations, STD/HIV testing, and radiology. The center does not presently offer dental care, care during pregnancy, ER visits, and advanced care for advanced chronic conditions.

Brooklyn Free Clinic is affiliated with SUNY Downstate Medical Center, offers free medical services for uninsured adult population of Bedford-Stuyvesant community and surrounding communities.
