The center accepts Medicare, Medicaid, Health Right, Managed care organizations, DC Healthcare Alliance, and other private health insurance plans. Services they provide include pediatrics, cardiology, ophthalmology, dermatology, HIV/AIDS, OB-GYN, urology, rheumatology, lab services, surgery services, and social services.

86% clinic patients are recent Latino immigrants and 55% are from El Salvador, 90% have no insurance and live below the poverty level.

Clinical services offered at the clinic include prenatal and geriatric care, infectious disease consultations, neurology, pediatrics, and oncology all on-site. Also offered is adult primary care, management of chronic illness, lab services, immunizations, nutrition, chiropractic, and alternative health therapies.
If you live in Washington D.C. and have no health insurance, Bread for the city provides comprehensive services including food, clothing, medical care, and legal and social services since 1974.

Unity Healthcare a non-profit healthcare provider operates the medical and dental clinic at the bread for the city's southeast center.
New adult patients should call Mon, Wen, Thur at 9 am or Tuesday at 10 am to schedule new patient appointments. Pediatrics should call 9 am on Mondays to schedule new patient appointments and Adults 18 years and older should call Mondays at 9 am for appointments. No walk ins are accepted and appointments are booked two days in advance. The center does not accept private insurance plans.
The Whitman-Walter Clinic was established in 1978 to provide health services to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community. They provide HIV and AIDS health care and social support, including comprehensive outpatient medical services including dental, HIV/AIDS medication, nutritional assistance, legal support for estate planning and discrimination litigation, behavioral health services, mental health, addiction, and HIV testing and counseling. No one is turned away does being unable to pay but there is a fee scale based on income and household size. They also accept private and government insurance plans. 202-939-7690 to receive care. The Elizabeth Taylor Medical Center is located at 1701 14th NW (14th and R Streets) Washington D.C. 20009. Open Mon- Thur 8-8 and Friday 8-5. Also, affiliated with the center is the Max Robinson Center located at 2301 Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, SE Washington D.C. 20020, Open Mon-Tue 8-8 and Wen-Fri 8-5.
