Free home school curriculum on your smart phone? Yes. There are free apps for math, science, vocabulary, SAT Prep, and so much more! Here are a few of the best free home school curriculum apps that I found in the android marketplace. These free apps will easily supplement many home school curriculums.

Kindle or Google Books
Reading is an important part of home schooling, especially if you are reading the classics. With the Google Books or Kindle app you can turn your smart phone into an ebook reader for free. There are thousands of free books, magazines, and newspapers that will supplement your home school curriculum.

Gre Word List
Are you home schooling a college bound high school student? Anyone bound for college will need to take the ACT or SAT test. A large portion of both of these tests are the vocabulary sections. With the free home school curriculum app Gre Word List your student can learn the SAT word list at their own pace, there is even a quiz feature to test your student's progress.

Math Formulary
Many students find math scary. You can take some of the stress out of math by using the Math Formulary app on your smart phone. The math formulary app reminds your students how to perform any math formula without giving them the answer. There are formulas for basic arithmetic, algebra, analysis, geometry, trigonometry, analytical geometry, and logic.

Mental Math
Those who can do math in their heads have always amazed me. Now your home schooling student can be one of those math wiz's. The Mental Math smart phone app has 16 videos covering topics like division, multiplication, square numbers and more. Start at episode 1 and start building your mental math skills within minutes.

Periodic Table (Socratica. LLC)
There are many apps for smart phones that show the periodic table, however the Periodic Table by Socratica includes more than just a chart. You can click on each of the elements and get the full details of that element. There is also a quiz option that lets you quiz your student based on the name, abbreviation, atomic number, or use the random option to quiz on all the topics. It doesn't stop there, the app also includes a search feature and an alphabetical index of all the elements.
