I am tired of spending my hard earned money on overpriced bathmats that don't last very long at all. Not only do they not last long, after a few washings, the plastic backings on them wear out way to fast. The rug yarn becomes matted or filled with fuzz balls.
The other downside of these store bought bathroom rugs are when they are washed with anything else, the lint from the bathmats stick to everything they are washed with. Not only that, the lint hangs out in the drum of your washer and attaches itself to the next load of laundry.
With the free, bathmat patterns, you can create your own colorful mats to fit the decor of your bathroom. Each of the bathmat patterns can be customized with fabric to fit the color scheme of each bathroom.
By creating your bathmats with these patterns, your bathroom won't have the same stock bathmats found in retail stores. Not only that, your handmade bathmats will provide you with a hobby to fill your time when you aren't busy with the family.
Making handmade bathmats with these free, bathmat patterns can bring your inner creativity out. Instead of purchasing new fabrics to create these bathmats, check around your home for fabrics that can be used instead. Worn jeans with holes, shirts or blouses, slacks or other pieces of clothing can be one source of fabric for your homemade bathmats.
For those who feel industrious, you can make one of each of the homemade bathmats. This way you will be able to switch them out as you wish or during the times you are going to wash your laundry.
