Most Important iPhone Apps for College Students
If there's one free iPhone app that I would recommend to students more than any other app it's called BigWords. The BigWords iPhone app allows students to compare the price of textbooks anywhere, anytime. Users can search the BigWords database to determine whether their books can be found for a cheaper price than their college campus.
iPhone Apps that Keep You Organized
My Homework is an organizer app that allows students to track homework, projects, schedules and more. Students can use the My Homework app to input their subjects with the assigned homework and due date into the app. It will also set a timer and alert you on the due date.
Evernote is a fee iPhone app that allows students to take important class notes by creating a text file, taking a photo (ie blackboards and slides) or recording voice notes. With this iPhone app you'll never forget even one precious piece of information your professors pass on to you.
Study Apps for the iPhone
The Free Wi-Fi Finder should be on every college student's iPhone. When you're trying to find a wi-fi connection for your laptop and you don't have time to hunt all over town this app will do the job. You can search for free wi-fi connections, paid connections or both.
Vocabolistic is more than just a dictionary. With this free iPhone app users can look up the meaning, spelling and usage of words. Included is a collection of tricky words.
StudyBlue connects students online so they can study together. This free iPhone app allows students to create flashcards, take quizzes and share notes with classmates and other college students studying the same subject.
Budgeting and Finance iPhone Apps
Learning to keep track of your budget and access your finances anywhere couldn't be made any simpler than the Mint app does. The Mint app lets students enter their financial information, including credit cards, investments, loans and bank accounts, and then access that information at any time. It also lets your set up a budget and track purchases as well as send you alerts when bills are due.
While there are many more free iPhone apps for college students in the iTunes library the ones mentioned in this article are more than enough to get any student well on their way to receiving a higher education.

Post a CommentThese sound great! Thanks, Kelly! :)
P.s. I had absolutely no problem downloading, installing or running any of the apps I listed in this article. And yes I did try out all of these apps.
STeve you can download the app directly from the developer at http://www.myhomework.rigoneri.com/
This would be a helpful article, but Ms. Spies seems to not realize how difficult it is to actually find any of the applications. For example, take My Homework and try to find that in the App Store. If you didn't try the app, you shouldn't be listing it. If you did try it, then you had the link to it and could have saved that link and used it.
I've been out of college for many years, but I do own an iPhone and I found this article well written and helpful.
