Free Knitted Vintage Women's Sweater Patterns

List Two of Vintage Knitted Sweater Patterns

Karen Barnes
The free, knitted vintage women's sweater patterns range from the years of the late 1940's to the mid 1950's. Each of the knitted vintage sweater patterns can provide any knitter hours of fun.

The free, knitted vintage women's sweater patterns can add a small value to a collector of these patterns. While they may not be as valuable monetary wise to the collector, they can add a emotional value to the patterns. This is due to them being given to them by a family member or friend because they have added to their collection of vintage knitted patterns.

Lace Knit Blouse

The Lace Knit Blouse is from the Needlework Illustrated, circa 1952. The pattern prints to two pages.

Flattering Boat Neckline Jersey

The Flattering Boat Neckline Jersey sweater is from New Knitting, circa September 1954. There was a note on the main page of the site I found this on stating there is a flaw in the directions of the pattern. It also stated you should read through the pattern carefully and may need to rework the directions so the sweater will come out like the picture shown in the instructions. There are 3 pages of instructions.

Lacy Jumper

The Lacy Jumper is from the Needlewoman and Needlecraft, circa 1951. This knitted sweater has a collar and rolled cuffs on the short sleeves. The pattern prints to two pages.

Smart Slipover

The Smart Slipover sleeveless vest style sweater is from the Madam Weigel's Journal of Fashion, circa November, 1947. The pattern prints to two pages.

Ladies Jersey

The Ladies Jersey is from the Needlework Illustrated, circa 1949. The pattern prints to 3 pages with to photos of the finished product.
