Free On-Line 1950s Trivia Games

Mary Anne
Theme parties over the holidays are a blast. Have you ever been to a 1950s Party? The dress at that time was poodle skirts, white blouses and flats. Boys wore straight black or blue slacks and white shirts. There are variations on the theme, but if you think about American Bandstand with Dick Clark, that is a good example of the overall looks of the 50s. There is nothing more fun than some trivia games to keep a small party going. I am reviewing trivia games from the 1950s in this article. So, you may want to bone up before the party.

Trivia Quiz-Artists

In these trivia quizzes you are provided some multiple choice questions on people in the entertainment industry of the 1950s. After each set of questions, you are given your percentage score of correct answers. Afterwards, you may click on "answers," and access the correct answers. If you are hosting the party, you may use these questions for the trivia game. Some examples are: Paul Anka's song Puppy Love was written by what star? 1) Brenda Lee 2) Connie Francis 3) Annette Funicello. The answer is Annette Funicello because she was also dating Paul Anka at the time.

Trivia Quiz-Oldies Songs

This trivia quiz is a gas. It has a variety of music titles, lyrics and movies where the song is made famous. The game allows players to guess which answer of the multiple choice question is the correct answer. If you are having a party, you can put the questions and answers on a 3" by 5" card. As a host you may also use old records for hints instead of just reading the answers.

This is a really nifty way to get a party going. It allows people to meet each another and participate in the party. The oldie song quiz has questions on songs and artists. An example would be: In the song Wake Up Little Suzy, what time did little Suzy finally wake up? 1)The movies over, it's 2 o'clock, 2) The movies over, it's 3 o'clock or 3) The movies over, it's 4 o'clock. The answer is option three, 4 o'clock.

Trivia Quiz-Potpourri of 1950s Useless Knowledge

The insurance industry has gotten into the trivia fad. Agent insurance marketing has lists of questions for trivia concerning the 1950s. Their questions are great mind ticklers. Some are very tough and may require you to look up the answers. All in all this web site has some great questions on the 1950s. An example of a question is, In what year did auto makers switch the design of headlights from two to four? The answers are: (A 1955, (B 1956, (1957 or (D 1958.

This neat 1950s trivia site has questions from the movies and song from the 1950s. It also has some obscure facts of the 1950s which we take for granted today, but were quite innovative in this era. The year the Chevrolet introduced the new small V8 block engine was the same year that Rock n' Roll became a new word. The year that Dennis the Menace or Leave it to Beaver premiered on TV? All of these and more you will find on this great trivia site of the 1950s.

All of these trivia sites are at no cost and do not require downloads or lengthy sign up sheets. You may access the questions for your 1950s Party and get some ideas without messing up your inbox or your hard drive.
