Those of us who currently have or had family members going through radiation or chemotherapy in a battle against cancer, know how drained it leaves the cancer patient. It's hard for them sometimes just to get up out of bed, let alone to get up and clean their whole house. Women are often left with the responsibility of keeping the house in order, but when a woman is undergoing treatment for cancer, cleaning the house takes a back seat.
Cleaning for A Reason gives females who have been diagnosed with cancer, a helping hand around their house. If they have been diagnosed with cancer and are undergoing treatment and have the medical documents to prove it, they can qualify for this service. For these women, having maid service while they are dealing with cancer, is a wonderful gift.
So far, Cleaning for A Reason has helped 2,000 cancer patients with $350,000 worth of free maid service. It is a non-profit program that relies on private donations. They are always looking for new maid services to volunteer as part of the program. They are also looking for corporate sponsors. What started out as a local project in the Lewisville, Texas area has now gone nation wide. You may be able to help women fighting cancer in your local area.
If you would like to help this organization reach out to more cancer patients by donating, or you know of a woman who is in need of this service, please go to the Cleaning for A Reason website here. My hope is that you will spread the word about this free house cleaning service. I've never been prouder to be living in North Texas. If you live in the Lewisville, Texas area, Cleaning for A Reason is looking for volunteers at their office to help with the Call Center and Clerical Duties. You can make a difference in someones life.
