Free Olympic Printables and Activities

Are you interested in finding free Olympic printable material for kids to color and have fun with? Even with the Winter Olympics for 2010 being over with, you can still continue the Olympic fun!

I have listed 10 websites that offer great material and I will give you a short review of each website and what they have to offer. All of these websites (except the official Olympic games website) also offer other printable activities, crafts and games on a large range of topics so please look around!!

1. Vancouver Olympic Games 2010.

This is the official website for the Olympic games and of course they haven't forgot the children. If you go to the Useful Resources you will find a list of educational lesson plans, games, informational sheets, and other engaging material for young children.

Also there is a section that you can meet the mascots! Play games and download more interactive fun activities.

2. Kids Indoor Activities.com

This website has some very unique and creative crafts for the children to do for the Winter Olympics. It has simple step by step instructions on making a Flag, a Torch, and a Medal.

3. About.com

At About.com they have a link to a free Winter Olympics printable coloring book for the kids to enjoy. It is 9 pages long and covers the 9 winter Olympic sports.

4. Printactivies.com

Print Activities.com has a large selection of free printable material on the Winter Olympics. They have several mazes, word searches, dot-to-dots, word jumbles, crypto-families puzzles, cryptogram puzzles, boggle game pages and coloring pages.

5. Teachingheart.net

Teaching Heart has everything from lesson plans on the Olympics to coloring pages. There are research log books you can download, math sheets, reading logs, word searches, coloring books, quizzes and crafts.

6. Kids Soup

Kids Soup is a great website to go to if you have preschool and kindergarten aged children. They have fun and unique creative crafts for kids to do that are at that age level. They have samples of more than 70 Olympic games and sports activities, crafts, games, and printables available in their KidsSoup Resource Library.

7. Teachers vision.

Teachers vision also has an extensive amount of material related to learning using the Olympic games. They have lesson plans that incorporate history, language arts, and social studies connected with the Olympics. These materials would be great for kids in elementary school.

8 Kaboose

Kaboose offers a lot of crafts for the Olympics that you can print out. They have bingo cards, quizzes and even information on how to throw an Olympic party.

9. Kids Turn Central

Kids Turn Central has unique coloring pages about a bear that goes to the Olympics.

10. Enchanted Learning.

Enchanted Learning always has great printable materials, crafts and activities for kids to do. They even have some for the Winter Olympics. You will find a little history on the Olympics on this page as well as educational activity books, print outs and worksheets and medals to print out to award to kids in your class.
