"Dancing With the Stars" has created a buzz between ballroom dancing and celebrities dancing against each other. Now you can learn the steps to some of the same dances seen on "Dancing With the Stars." You can learn the salsa, tango, swing, ballroom, country line dancing, cha cha, foxtrot, and many other styles of dancing steps. You can learn from videos and through text lessons that provide the visual aid in the dance steps.

At Tap Steps, there are paddles and rolls, shim sham shimmy, basic timesteps, other steps, and instructional videos for learning to tap dance. You will find a glossary and notations for the tap dance steps.

Off Jazz has free videos on learning the different Jazz tap steps. You will find 12 different tap steps to learn that download to Real Player. There are 13 other taps steps you can learn using the videos that download to Real Player. There are also other videos you can watch on tap dancing.

Ballroom Dancing

You can learn various ballroom dancing steps at ballroomdancers.com. There are four sections to choose from. The sections include international style standard and Latin dances, American style smooth and rhythm dances, and social and nightclub dances. Each of the sections has a syllabus for each of the dances. The syllabus' include video clips, written descriptions for both the male and female positions, and an overview.

My daughter took jazz dance as part of her elective classes for her theater major in college. She thought the classes were fun. The classes also provided her a form of exercise during her two semesters that she took them.
