Free Outdoor Las Vegas Entertainment & Shows

Rachel
Las Vegas has long since forgotten that it was once a town with good deals to get people to drive through the desert to get there. Now you will find Luxury Hotels, Fine Dining by World Renowned Chefs, and Ultra Exclusive Clubs. All these things can make going to Las Vegas hard on the pocket book. Below I have listed several locations in Las Vegas where you will find good entertainment for couples and families all for free. All of these free entertainment locations are located outdoors so you won't be locked inside hotels and can get out and see the sights.

1. Sirens of TI

The Sirens of TI show is located on the Las Vegas Strip at the front entrance of the Treasure Island Hotel. This show was originally a pirate show entitled "Battle at Buccaneer Bay," that was aimed at entertaining families and a younger crowd. When Treasure Island Hotel revamped the pirates show into The Sirens of TI, it aimed to attract the adult crowd. The show features scantily clad women and men in a provocative, entertaining show. The 18 minute Sirens of TI show runs nightly at 7pm, 8:30pm, 10pm and 11:30pm. The show is free, first come first serve viewing and is standing room only; however, there is VIP viewing area for Treasure Island guests.

2. Mirage Volcano

The volcano in front of the Mirage Hotel & Casino erupts nightly from dusk till midnight every hour on the hour. The show is free entertainment and a magnificent sight to see. The Mirage Volcano underwent a major renovation in 2008 and reopened in December 2008. Follow the link to see a video preview of the updated Volcano at the Mirage Hotel & Casino.

3. Bellagio Fountains

The Bellagio Fountains are located in a 8 acre man made lake on the Las Vegas Strip between Las Vegas Blvd. and the Bellagio Hotel. The Bellagio Fountains show takes place every ½ hour in the afternoons and every 15 minutes from 8pm to midnight. Patrons wishing to view the free entertainment show should stand on the sidewalk area between the fountains and Las Vegas Blvd. The show is an elaborately choreographed water fountain show that is set to various pieces of music. Music has been used by artists such as: Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion, Frank Sinatra, Faith Hill, Gene Kelly, and many others. The show is breathtaking and will make you fall in love with Las Vegas.

4. Fremont Street Light Show -

The Fremont Street Light Show is located in the Fremont Street Experience, a 5 block section of downtown Las Vegas. In 1994 - 1995, the downtown area underwent a major renovation in which a canopy roof was installed with lights spanning the entire length of the canopy to allow for a light show. There are also stages where you will find free concerts and entertainment. In 2004, the Fremont Street Experience underwent a renovation in which the light bulbs were replaced with an LED display for more color options. Light shows are free and held several times a night starting at dusk with various titles such as Don McLean's American Pie, KISS over Vegas, Bad to the Bone and many others. Please check the website for current entertainment, show times and titles.

I hope you check out these fun outdoor free entertainment locations on your next trip to Las Vegas. Have fun and gamble responsibly.
