"Free Paris Hilton" T Shirt Craft Project

With all the hub bub about Paris Hilton going to jail I thought it might be funny to create a Free Paris Hilton t shirt. Thing of the "Donna Martin Graduates!" t shirts. No need to wait for Urban Outfitters or someone else make this funny celebrity t-shirt! While Paris Hilton may not be the Donna Martin of this generation, the whole Paris Hilton Pardon movement (if you can call it that) is rather funny and a great source for some current pop art on your t -shirts!

I am sure Free Paris or Pardon Paris t-shirts will get a ton of comments, both good and bad! Whether old Paris Hilton is pardoned by Arnold or not, this funny pop culture t-shirt should be fun from now through most of the summer, when Paris Hilton is released from jail. Who knows, you may break this Pardon Paris t-shirt out 20 years down the road for a retro party!

To Make a Pardon Paris T-shirt You Will Need:

T-shirts

Vellum
Pencil
Painter's tape
Design
Newspaper
Pre Made Silk-screen

Exacto Knife
Squeegee

Now, use some scrap sketching paper to draw out your "Pardon Paris" words. Go online and find a photo of Paris Hilton's head. Print it out in black and white to about 5X7 inches.

Use a black marker to outline some of the main details on her face, like nose, eyes, hair, and jaw line.

Turn your sketch of "Pardon Paris" and her face over and trace it on the back of the paper. This will allow you to transfer it in reverse on the screen.

Lay your sketch below the velum and trace the design on vellum.

Use an exacto knife to cut out the letters and the outlines of Paris Hilton's face.

Use some painter's tape to hold the vellum to the back side of the silk screen.

Now, lay your plain t-shirt on a table. Slip some cardboard inside the t-shirt to keep the Pardon Paris design from bleeding through out the back.

Lay the silk screen on the t-shirt.

Pour some paint onto the silk-screen along the top edge. You can use any color you want!

Now, slowly pull the squeegee down the screen. This will pull the silk screen paint over the screen and press it through the Paris Hilton Pardoned design.

You can pull the same pile of ink back to the top of the screen.

At this point you need to let your Pardon Paris t-shirt dry. Take off the screen and use it to make some more t-shirts!

This is a great way to make any kind of pop art t-shirt with any of your favorite celebrities. You don't have to focus on Paris Hilton though! I just though it would be funny because so many people are trying to appeal to Arnold to make sure Paris Hilton is pardoned.
