Free Popeye's Cane Sweeeet Iced Tea on June 12th

Popeye's Cane Sweeeet Iced Tea, is the new drink advertised in Popeye's ads beside their new Popeye's Wicked Chicken. Popeye's official description states: "Popeye's Cane Sweeeet Iced Tea is fresh brewed from a blend of premium orange pekoe and pekoe cut black teas from the Far East and South America and cane sweetened to create a refreshing Iced Tea with consistently superior taste."

You can try Popeye's new fresh brewed, Cane Sweeeet Iced Tea for free on June 12th. Limit one 22 ounce serving per person, per visit. Offer ends on June 13th.

I tried Popeye's Cane Sweeeet Iced Tea, this past week in conjunction with their Wicked Chicken. It tasted like regular old iced tea without the cane sugar. The teas are your basic teas that you can buy in stores, like Lipton or Tetley. It was a bit sweet for me, so this tastes almost like regular sweet tea, which is not my favorite because I don't like my drinks sweet. I can't really tell the difference in taste between regular sugar and cane sugar in this drink. I can make the same tasting tea at home for a few pennies -- then again, this is fast food, not gourmet, so what can you expect?

Try it and judge it for yourself on June 12th. In any event, it is still free and you still can't go wrong with free!
