As a teacher you already know how important it is to present classroom material in new and interesting ways. Sometimes, that means adding a quick PowerPoint slide show to engage kids and present information in a visual form. But, making slide shows takes time that you could be using on more important tasks. The good news is there are thousands of free PowerPoint slide shows available online created by experienced teachers that you can adapt or use as is for free.

Pete's Power Point Station
Pete's Power Point Station provides thousands of quality power point presentations covering literacy, math, science and social studies. Select the desired content area from the chart or browse all titles in alphabetical order by selecting "Free Presentations in PowerPoint format" at the top of the page. Although they are not labeled by grade level, these PowerPoint presentations cover a range of ages and grade levels.

World of Teaching
World of Teaching also provides a host of Free PowerPoint presentations ready to use in your classroom. This site covers a range of subjects and grade levels from K-12. Browse by subject to find just the PowerPoint presentation for your class. World of Teaching also sells the entire set of presentations on disk for a minimal fee, putting the entire library at your fingertips. If you find several you like, and I'm sure you will, consider supporting the site by buying the set on CD.

PowerPoint Palooza

Designing your own PowerPoint presentation puts you in control of the information you provide to your students-but don't waste time reinventing the wheel. Find quality presentations ready to use in your classroom or adapt them to meet your own needs by changing the content or adding extra slides of your own.
