There are some 4th grade students who ask if they can get math worksheets and some 4^th graders want nothing to do with math worksheets. I feel that if a child enjoys working on math worksheets and is asking if they can be given math worksheets, then they should be offered the opportunity to work on 4th grade math worksheets.

Fourth grade math is really challenging for some kids because math is just really hard for some kids plus the higher the grade level, the more in depth the math gets. My experience in education has been that some kids feel more confident in the classroom when they can take math worksheets home and practice the skills in the comfort of their own home with their parents support and then come back to the classroom and ask any questions they may have on the math problems and concepts.

My recommendation is to supply printable 4^th grade math worksheets for kids in the classroom, have a spot in the room where kids can always find 4^th grade math worksheets. If the students get done early with their work or finish up earlier than expected in a center, allow them to pick up a math worksheet if they choose and work on it at their leisure. Kids also enjoy math worksheets that are themed for special occasions and/holidays, I have always offered holiday themed free printable math worksheets for the kids, the children especially enjoy those particular types of math worksheets.
