Free Printable Advent Wreaths to Color, Cut and Paste

Marilisa Kinney Sachteleben
Yesterday was the first day of Advent. Each week on Sunday, Christians light one candle on the Advent wreath. Each candle symbolizes our hope, expectation, preparation and joy at the Birth of Christ on Christmas. If you'd like to make an Advent wreath with your children, classroom, Sunday School or day care, there are free printable Advent wreaths online.

Help children explore the lovely tradition of the Advent wreath with these printable coloring, cut and paste wreaths.

Our friends at First-school.ws (click here) have several sizes and styles of free printable Advent wreaths. You can print a larger wreath to use with the family, or a smaller wreath to hang on the tree. Print in color or black and white to make the wreath a coloring craft as well as cut and paste. You can choose an optional image to insert in the center.

Parenting.Leehansen.com always has lovely free printable crafts. Their Advent wreath cut and paste craft (click here to print) is no exception. Beautiful emerald green leaves and bright red bow, make this Advent a must-see.

Kencollins.com (click here) has a design to make a very simple handprint Advent wreath. What better way to show Advent than with cut outs of children's hands. Rev Ken also has developed some Advent wreath devotions, usable with all ages. He gives a nice, concise history of the Advent wreath as well.

About.com Family Crafts (click here). Has a nice assortment of Advent printable activities.

Beware of these links for pritnable Advent wreaths:

Do not click these links. They have been infected with spyware. My computer crashed after I opened links like these inadvertently.

My Advent hope is that you all experience the love of the Christ Child in your hearts this season.

First. Good looking out on the spyware. And I see that your last few articles are about 'free' stuff. Cool.
