Canada Day celebrates when this country became a single country. Canada became a unified country on July 1, 1867. Canada Day was formerly known as Dominion Day.

I have talked with a few Canadians online. The best way the could describe what Canada Day was about was to compare it to the United States 4th of July.

Kids can celebrate Canada Day with these free, printable coloring sheets. The coloring pages would be a great addition to World History classes in the United States. Even homeschool kids can use these pages to learn more about our neighbor to the North.
