Hanukkah or Chanukah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, begins at sundown Dec. 11, 2009. On the Hebrew calendar Hanukkah always falls on the 25th of Kislev on the Hebrew calendar. Here are free printable crafts and activities to celebrate Hanukkah.

Torahtots.com (click here for Chanukah) I absolutely love Torah Tots. It's got one of the most educational, interactive and enjoyable sites on the web. I've linked to the Chanukah (Hanukkah) page where you can print menorah crafts, Star of David crafts, Dreidel crafts as well as games for all aspects of Hanukkah. There are educational puzzles and jigsaw puzzles and lot of great online gaming fun as well.

The Toymaker (click here for Chanukah) This nifty site is devoted entirely to free printable paper crafts and toys. There is a free printable paper dreidel, gelt (money) box, greeting cards, 3D paper menorah, Star of David, another Chanukah box and booklet to guide the menorah prayers.

Freekidscrafts.com (click here for Hanukkah) I surely do love this website. I've linked you directly to the Hanukkah search page results and there are free printables on it.

abcteach.com (click here for Hanukkah) has a whole directory of links for free printable Hanukkah coloring pages, featuring the menorah, dreidel, latkes and other symbols of Hanukkah. There are enough free printable activities to make a countdown to Hanukkah booklet for children. There are word searches, puzzles, word scrambles, color and write prompts, book marks and DIY Hanukkah greeting cards all free to print.

DL-TK-kids (click here for Hanukkah) has a huge collection of free printable Hanukkah crafts, bingo games, decorations, greeting cards, Star of David crafts, Menorah crafts, coloring pages, domino games, memory games and more. Everything you need to celebrate a Hanukkah party is right here.

kidsdomain.com (click here for Chanukah and Hanukkah) also goes by the name Kaboose. Click on the link to be taken to the search page for all free printable Chanukah crafts available from Kaboose.

While I am not Jewish, nor is my husband, I am very interested in other religious celebrations, especially the Hebrew holy days. Hanukkah is not the highest festival in the Jewish year (that would be Yom Kippur). But Hanukkah and Christmas are very near each other and so we group them in the winter holidays.
