Free Printable Children's Valentines

Valentine's Day is approaching and soon thoughts will turn to getting the Valentines cards signed, sealed and delivered. Now of course there are the traditional boxed Valentines that kids simply sign. But how about something a little different? How about printing your own this year, for free? Here are several websites with free printable Valentine cards.

Our old free printable friend DLTK has a variety of valentine cards to print free and what I am pleased to share is that, not only can you find favorite characters like Scooby-Doo, Powerpuff Girls and Sponge Bob, you can find some unique ones as well. DLTK also provides links to free printable cards that are crafts for your child to reproduce and make. That adds some fun to the Valentine cards. There are also Valentine cards that you can customize with your own message, graphics and colors. It's like an online coloring activity. I also liked the link for a printable candy cane Valentine card to use up old candy canes. You also have the option to print the valentines in black and white which can then be colored.

Paper Valentines is a site devoted to valentines. This is your one stop Valentine stop. You'll find 3-D cards, folding cards, coloring cards, patriotic valentines, pop-ups, cut and assemble, cupid cards, candy heart quotes, paper chains, valentine wrapping paper, valentine puzzles, booklets, stained glass, envelopes, stationery, address labels, games, heart crafts, Valentine's Day crafts. This is a must-see-to-believe site for free printing.

Allcrafts features another jam-packed website with more Valentine's Day ideas than you can imagine. This site features more craft oriented valentines like beaded valentines, embossed cards, potpourri valentines, woven valentines, cupcake cards and valentines from different countries. Some of the valentine crafts are in the pdf (personal document format). There are valentine box designs and templates, bookmarks, graphics and wrapping paper.

Lee Hansen features pages of six valentines each to print on many different themes. There are monster cards, cat cards, frog cards and teddy bear valentines. You'll find a large selection of free graphics and clip art to create decorations, desktop themes and e-cards and valentines as well.

Remember when you are printing, to set our printer properties to determine the print quality that you desire. I have gotten some very nice results with my HP printer's 'fast, economical printing' setting. for inexpensive paper, I like to shop Staples which offers a customer or teacher reward card on purchases as well as $3 dollar coupons for ink cartridges and 10% off new cartridges with the return of a Staples ink cartridge.
