Catholic Icing is a really nice Catholic blog, created by a young mother. She has designed a lovely free printable Lenten calendar which you can open and print. There are two views of the calendar. Children and families can countdown their Lenten journey of fasting, prayer and Almsgiving by coloring in each of the forty days and lent and practicing the activities listed on the Lenten calendar. Each of the Sundays of Lent are highlighted, as are holy days, Holy Week, the Easter Triduum and of course, Ash Wednesday. Fast days are indicated. There is also a nice list of better known saint feast days which occur regularly during Lent. I really like the way that this Lenten calendar has been designed to be undated, so that it is reusable, with a little tweaking every year. Click here for Catholic Icing.
