Free Printable Mother's Day Cards and Crafts for Kids

Mother's Day is a wonderful holiday to celebrate all the moms in our lives.

Most kids love to color and create presents and cards to celebrate their moms. In today's busy times, both children and parents having such hectic schedules, many homemade presents or cards are forgotten and never made. To make it easier for everyone to make, color and construct homemade Mother's Day cards, I have put together a collection of kid friendly printable pages. These pages feature popular Nick Jr. characters and are great for children of all ages.

Blues Clues

"A Hug for You" is an adorable printout featuring Mr. Salt and Paprika. This is a coupon redeemable for 1 hug. It prints large on a standard sheet of printer paper. It prints in black and white so the child can color the whole thing any way they like.

"Blue's Mother's Day Pop-Up Card" is a four page printout. It is best to print it in color and then follow the directions on page 4 to put it all together. If your child loves to color, in detail, then print it in black and white or gray scale. You will need scissors and glue to make this card. I highly recommend printing it in color. I did and it is very bright and colorful.

Max and Ruby

"Max & Ruby Mother's Day Pop-Up Card" is also a four page printout just like the Blue's Clues one. The instructions are about the same, and scissors and glue are needed as well. This is another one that I recommend printing in color and then assembling.

"Max & Ruby Printable Card". This is a one page printout and no cutting or gluing supplies are needed. It prints out and all you do is fold it. This one can be printed in gray scale so the kids can color it but I would recommend bright markers to cover up the grays.

Little Bear

"Little Bear Kiss Coupon". If your little one likes Little Bear, then this is the printable card for you. This is very similar to the "A Hug for You" from Blue's Clues. It prints large on a standard sheet of printer paper and is printed in black and white for your child to color.

Dora the Explorer

"Dora's Mother's Day Pop-Up Card" is similar to the other pop-up cards. You will need to print it in color and will need scissors and glue to put it together.

"Dora's Printable Mother's Day Card" is similar to the "Max & Ruby Printable Card". This is a one sheet printout that just needs folding. This one can be printed in either gray scale or color.

Little Bill

"Little Bill Quiet-Time Coupon". I love this one and I think I will print numerous copies for my son. This features Little Bill smiling up at his mom and entitling her to 5 minutes of quiet time from him. I love this one! You can print it in either color or gray scale. It is a one page printout just like the "Little Bear Kiss Coupon" or "A Hug for You".

The Backyardigan's

"The Backyardigan's Mother's Day Frame Card" is a single printout. This is a cute project that can be used as a Mother's Day card or craft project. You can print it out in color and fold it over to make the card. Or, if you want to make it into a photo frame, you can print it out on card stock. It is cute either way!

Mutiple Characters

"Mother's Day Coupon Book" is a two page color printout. It has five styles of 'coupons' ranging from an extra hug to eating all of my vegetables. It has many characters from Nick Jr. and is very easy to assemble. You will need scissors and a stapler. The instructions are printed at the top of the first page. This is a wonderful card idea to give to your mom to show her how much you appreciate her on her special day.

"Mother's Day Paper Plate Photo Frames" is a cute Mother's Day craft project for your little ones. This is a three page printout and has characters from The Backyardigans, Ni Hao Kai-lan and Blue's Clues. You will need paper plates, glue and scissors. You will want to print this one is color.

Last year I honored my Mother with a Mother's Day Poem. To read it, click here.
