Free Printable Patriotic Projects and Activities

Hands-On American History, Civics, Social Studies Lessons

I've published several articles featuring free printable activities for different holidays, including the patriotic holidays. Since publishing these articles, I've found more free printable patriotic crafts, activities and projects. These free printable activities might easily be used as lesson plans for school or homeschool. A hands-on activity livens up any lesson in school. Use these crafts and activities for American history, Government, Civics, Social Studies, Geography and other similar classes. I've included lessons for many different age groups.

You don't need to be a teacher to print the activities. There is no code or user ID required. I do recommend as I have before that you subscribe to the email list if the website has one available. You will be kept up-to-date on new free printable materials as they become available.

Free Patriotic Project features a cross-referenced index of free printable crafts for patriotic holidays, like Memorial Day, 4th of July, Flag Day, President's Day and Labor Day. There are also military crafts and activities. You can print coloring pages, puzzles, word search, crossword puzzles and cut and paste crafts.

Pecuniarities is a charming, whimsical website devoted to penny pinching and saving money. This website has an ecclectic collage of free goodies. I found an adorable paper craft project using up those leftover toilet paper tubes. You can print free wrap-around toy soldier images. First, print the toy soldiers, then cut them out (they print in a square). Wrap the picture around the toilet paper tube and glue. Viola! you have a cute set of toy soldiers for children to play with. Green, DIY rainy day fun!

Another great site to bookmark is Free Kids Crafts. I subscribe to Free Kids Craft for updates on free printable crafts, games, activities, puzzles, paper dolls and my personal favorite paper airplanes. I couldn't begin to describe the multitude of free printable goodies at Free Kids Crafts.

I've mentioned my friend Marilyn at The Toymaker and I'll do so again. Free printable paper crafts and toys with a patriotic flare.

All Free Crafts has free printables and craft patterns and ideas. Check here for a huge clearinghouse of patriotic goodies.

Making Friends http://makingfriends.com/patriotic_decorations.htm always has lots of great crafts, including free printable crafts and activities. I like the games, puzzles and mazes on this site also.

Happy cutting, pasting and coloring!

I will say it again - your creative, hands-on craft ideas are good for every age group. I forward these on to two ladies who are in charge or a senior citizen center where there's a mixture of MD/HD/DD personalities. Without fail, they all love to work with their hands. Thank you again!
