Free Printable Recipes: Easy Holiday Appetizers

Easy holiday appetizer ideas with links to free printable recipes:

Shrimp dip. I don't think I've ever been to a Christmas party that hasn't had some form of shrimp dip. I'll tell you the secret reason behind that: shrimp dip is incredibly easy to make! I think the easiest recipe of all can be found here. I'd go ahead and print it out the first time, but after that you'll be able to do it by memory- it only has three ingredients. If you want to kick it up a notch, try making a shrimp ball as a holiday appetizer. A shrimp ball is a little more complicated to make than shrimp dip, but it still falls well within the easy category. Click here for the shrimp ball recipe.

If you're looking for a hot shrimp dip recipe, click here. The hot shrimp dip is a little fancier. The addition of green peppers and garlic, plus the fact that it's hot, makes it more robust than the cold shrimp dips.

Roll-ups. Roll-ups are pretty much the same thing as wraps, but you slice the roll-ups into appetizer sized pieces. The pieces often look like pinwheels, so you may know them by that name instead. Whatever you call them, they're delicious!

Ham roll-ups are always popular. Click here for an easy ham roll-up recipe. For a healthy holiday appetizer, try making Mediterranean salad roll-ups using the recipe found here. For a super easy roll-up recipe to make with (and for) kids, check out Kraft Food's pinwheel bites. The free printable version can be found here.

Taco dip. One of the most popular party appetizers, holiday or not, is seven layer taco dip. I'm sure the reason for it's popularity is because it's absolutely delicious! (Click here for the recipe.) Even though seven layer taco dip is easy to make, I have to warn you that it's a little bit on the expensive and time consuming side. If you're looking for a less expensive and less time-consuming easy taco dip recipe, try this one.

If you're looking for a fancier, hot appetizer that's still along the lines of a taco dip, try super nachos. This recipe is muy bueno! It's better than any nachos you would order at a restaurant

Bread boats. Bread boats are those round loafs of bread, usually pumpernickel or rye, filled with dip. The dip can be served with cut-up pieces of the bread, crackers, or veggies.

My all-time favorite holiday appetizer is a bread boat filled with Knorr spinach dip. It's kind of not for everyone, but if the recipe sounds good to you, I guarantee it'll become a holiday classic for your family. I'm not sure if the recipe is still on the back of the box, but you can also print it out here for free. Another classic bread boat recipe is the chipped beef in rye bread. Everyone seems to think that the magic ingredient for chipped beef dip in a bread boat is beau monde, so if you're looking for that recipe, here it is.

Once you've decided on what to serve as an easy holiday appetizer, make sure to save the free printable recipe for next Christmas!

That's funny; you haven't been to a party where there wasn't some sort of shrimp dip, and I've yet to go anywhere where there was one. I never even heard of shrimp dip. Wow!
