Free Printable Thank You Cards to Show Your Gratitude

Janet Trieschman
The art of writing Thank You notes has waned in our culture. Be it our fast paced life style or the additional cost of buying a card, here are a few options for making and printing cards at home with the use of your computer and printer. The options presented do not require joining the site or paying a fee. Please note that these options do exist and you may find you want to pursue those venues.

Thank you notes are always welcomed and should be written for gifts received and just plain nice gestures of goodwill. Although probably never mentioned, thank you notes are expected. So if you forgot to buy a card or if the cost of store bought cards is prohibitive, you will find the following list of options a possible solution. They are in no particular order.

HP

HP offers a tasteful selection of printable Thank You cards. The offerings at HP are high quality, professional looking Thank You cards. The art is downloadable in PDF format which you can alter if you have software that allows for editing a PDF file, otherwise, you can print out the card using Adobe's free Acrobat Reader, available for download.

Canon

Canon offers a variety, actually forty-three in all, Thank You cards available for download at their website Creative Park. Very professional and very colorful, you'll be able to find something that fits your needs here. The difference about this site is that the cards are available in different sizes. The sizes offered are: 4 x 6, Half-fold A4, Half-fold US 8.5 x 11, Quarter fold A4, and Quarter-fold US 8.5 x 11. The files are offered as a downloadable PDF file, which can easily be opened and printed in Adobe's free Acrobat Reader software.

Microsoft

Microsoft offers a variety of templates for download. The up side to this is that they are editable. You can add text or elements before printing. If you are savvy enough, you can really alter these files with color choices and text for a very professional yet personal touch. The downside is that you need to own Microsoft Word in order to use the templates.

Dltk-Kids

This is a printable Thank You card option available for the little ones. This site offers two options. Standard printable greeting cards are available for printing but not personalization. The Custom Printable Greeting Cards can be personalized with a title on the front of the card and a message on the inside of the card. Available in both black and white and color depending upon the kind of printer you have at home.

My Fun Cards

My Fun Cards appears to be downloadable software that has over 1,000 cards to choose from. Unfortunately it doesn't work on Macintosh computers so I was unable to test it out.
