Free Printable Valentine's Day Countdown Calendar

Countdown calendars are becoming very popular to help children count down the days to special events and holidays. Here is a free printable countdown to Valentine's Day calendar. This cute cut and paste craft works well for preschool, elementary classrooms, homeschool and Girl Scout troop activities. This craft comes from those very creative folks at Family Fun.

To begin making your free printable countdown to Valentine's Day calendar, print the Valentine candy box here. Cut out the candy box pattern. To make a reusable Valentine calendar, laminate the Valentine candy box using a home laminating kit or contact paper. You can make this countdown calender reusable by attaching it to a recycled piece of cardboard from a cereal box, also. Use it as a file folder game by taping it to the inside of a blank manila file folder.

Next print the Valentine's Sweet Candies here. There are 14 candies to match the fourteen day countdown calendar slots. Print them in color or print in black and white and let children color them. To print in black and white set your printer "preferences" to "black ink cartridge" or "print in gray scale". Children should cut them out and arrange in order 1-14.

Last, print the Valentine's Day Countdown Calendar activities page here. Cut out the activities and match them to the numbered Valentine's Day Sweet candies. Tape or glue activity tag to the corresponding candy. Fold in half and tape to the matching space on the Valentine's Day Countdown calendar.

This activity makes excellent practice for fine motor skills and scissor crafts. It's ideal for use with younger preschool, kindergarten and special needs students. It's simple and user-friendly making it an ideal craft for children who are easily frustrated.
