Free Printable 'Where the Wild Things Are' Coloring and Activities

Where the Wild Things Are movie premiered October 16, 2009. Based on Maurice Sendak's beloved childrens' book, the movie 'wildly' popular, too. Need free printable coloring, games, activities and lesson plans from WTWTA? Then you have come to the right place. Read on for links to free printable coloring pages, word search, crossword puzzle, lesson plans and activities. Let's start with the free printable Where the Wild Things Are coloring pages, because that's what people want most.

There are eleven different wallpapers and eleven different movie posters that you can print and color. The pictures are shown in color. To print as a coloring page, choose one of the size options and left click it. When the poster or wallpaper opens in a new window, right click on the image. Choose 'print image' from the drop down menu. When your printer window opens, click 'preferences' option on the right side of the box. When that box opens, select the tab labeled 'Color' across the top list of options. On the 'Color' tab, select 'Print in Grayscale'. This will print the image in black and white which you can then color.

There are images of Carol, Alexander, Judith, Ira, The bull, Douglas, KW and of course, Max Records himself. There are pictures of Max's boat also. You could print a complete 22 page coloring book from Where the Wild Things are movie.

TheTeachersCorner. net has a free printable crossword puzzle maker using words and definitions based on Maurice Sendak's book, Where the Wild Things Are. I like this crossword puzzle because it celebrates Maurice Sendak's wonderful vocabulary and stylisitic word choices, like 'gnashed', 'rumpus' and 'terrible teeth'.

    Its wonderful to have these free print outs, now if only these sites can actually take me directly to a printout so I may print out some coloring sheets for my son's Kindergarten class; instead of sending me on a cycle of websites to sign up for...it would be most wonderful.
