Free Shredding Service for Charlotte Area

Don't miss the free document shredding event offered by Bank of America and Recall. This is a service that is being done without cost for anyone with unwanted documents that need a proper disposal.

In an effort to help consumers avoid identity theft, Bank of American and Recall will offer the shredding service on December 11^th, 2010. Anyone may bring personal files that should not be tossed without being shredded to this event.

Many may be surprised to learn that more than 11 million people were the victims of identity theft in 2009 alone. As hard as this is to believe, consider that those who are victims of crimes such as identity theft often have to spend many hours and their personal funds to correct the wrong that was done.

Identity theft is often caused by someone a victim knows. Consumers are often advised to destroy any documents that contain their name and other personal information before discarding. However, as the end of the year approaches many may find they are overwhelmed by the amount of papers that need to be shredded.

Those with small amounts of papers to be shredded as well as small businesses may take part in this free shredding service. Resources will be available during the shredding service that may help prevent identity theft.
